Schaeffer Hydraulic Fluids & Lubricants

Schaeffer's H.T.C. Oils are formulated from the finest high viscosity index, severely solvent refined, severely hydro-finished 100% pure paraffin base stocks available. H.T.C. Supreme products also employ superior quality polyalphaoelephin synthetic base oils to provide even greater protection at extreme temperatures and resistance to oxidation and varnish. These formulations are specially designed to deliver superior performance, extended service intervals, reduced leakage, protect equipment, and extend equipment life. Proprietary additive chemistry like Micron Moly® and Penetro® act together to protect components from damage at start-up, during extreme operational parameters and under severe load conditions. These proprietary soluble additives will not settle out or impede filtration due to their unique chemical properties.

When varnish deposits form they can create a host of problems. The sticky nature of these deposits can attract wear particles and contaminants that adhere to the metal surface and cause increased friction. Varnish deposits can result in sticking servo valves, restricted oil flow due to clogged or blocked filters and strainers, and poor heat transfer. All of these factors result in increased maintenance costs, system downtime and lost production.

Varnishield® is a patented hydraulic fluid additive technology that is designed to prevent the formation and build-up of varnish deposits, while providing exceptional anti-wear performance, outstanding thermal and oxidation stability, rust and corrosion protection and rapid water separation. The Varnishield® additive system provides H.T.C. Oil with a high degree of thermal and oxidative stability thus minimizing the formation of sludge and varnish. If any varnish particles do form, the dispersancy of the Varnishield® additive will keep these particles suspended and prevent them from depositing on internal components. This helps reduce the replacement of components such as

H.T.C. Oil can also be used as a slide and way lube, an airline oil for pneumatic systems, as a circulating oil and in those bearing and gearbox applications, where the use of a non-extreme pressure oil is specified.

Schaeffer's H.T.C. and H.T.C. Supreme oils are available in food grade formulations as well as zinc and zinc-free formulations.
